Do I need to make a reservation?
Wiggles enjoys a sparkling safety record, owed in part to ideal staffing levels every day. For this reason, we require reservations for all of our services, including our dog boarding near Killingworth. Please call us to book your pet’s stay—short-notice inquiries are always welcome and accepted as availability allows.
What are the vaccination requirements for dog boarding?
For the protection of our guests and staff, we require all pets to have proof of up-to-date vaccinations for rabies, the distemper combo, and Bordetella. Additionally, we strongly encourage vaccinating for canine influenza and leptospirosis.
We’re also required by the state of CT to have copies of your pet’s rabies certificate and town dog license on file.
Do you provide dog boarding for intact pets?
Yes, pets who aren’t spayed or neutered are welcome to stay with us. Unaltered pets over 8 months old will receive one-on-one playtimes with a loving team member instead of group play.
However, for safety reasons, we can’t permit dogs who are in, near, or recently out of heat.
What are your dog boarding drop off/pick up hours?
Feel free to drop off and pick up your dog any time during our business hours, which are 7 AM to 6 PM on weekdays and 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays. After-hours drop off or pick up may be available for a small additional fee.
We do recommend dropping off between 10 AM and 12 noon for the quickest service, as this is normally a quieter time at our front desk.
Should I bring my dog’s food?
To keep your dog on their usual diet, we ask you please bring their normal food in labeled, pre-portioned bags or containers. We have a microwave, refrigerator, and freezer to store and prepare food if needed.
Two daily feedings are included in your pet’s standard overnight care. For more frequent feedings, or if your dog’s food needs special preparation (such as a raw diet) or multiple components, a small special feeding charge may apply for the extra time required.
I have more than one dog, can they stay in the same suite?
Absolutely, our spacious suites have more than enough space for multi-dog families to lodge comfortably together. Additional pets sharing the same suite receive 25% off nightly lodging.
My pet takes medications, can you give them to him/her?
Yes, our team can provide most medications (topical and oral) for a small fee per dose. If your pet receives several or frequent medications, we may recommend our TLC Package, which includes medication administration throughout the stay.
If your pet takes medications, please bring them in their original containers clearly labeled and with written instructions. Please don’t pack your dog’s medications into their food, as we provide medications by hand under observation to ensure the complete dose is always taken.
